We are a family farm, with everyone pitching in, including the kids. Twelve year-old Bennett and ten year-old Mally, who are never far from their top dog Gracie, are two of our best farm hands. Here are a few more from the Huffman crew…
Meet Ford, the guy who keeps everybody in line (and has managed to make his way through every fence ever put in front of him).
This is Ford’s sidekick and #1 petting zoo pony, Parker (a.k.a. Mighty Whitey)
You know the old saying about being as happy as a pig in mud? Well, these are a couple of very happy show hogs, William and Alicia.
Little Kickstand is one of two bottle baby orphans we hand raised this spring. He was originally known as Thing 1, while his brother was Thing 2. However, after a run in with a fellow farmhand (who has yet to be named), he suffered a double compound open fracture resulting in several weeks in a cast, that was a good 4-5 inches longer than his leg. After one look at him standing with his big blue leg jetting out to the side, he became known as Kick Stand.
Known as “Jerusalem” or “Jesus” donkeys, these donkeys were said to have carried Mary to Bethlehem. Well, not exactly these two, but we decided to name them Mary and Josephine anyway. These yhree year-old sisters are inseparable…and all ears!
